Accessibility Statement
We want this website and every session we run to be usable by everyone, including people who use assistive technology, need large print, or attend with a mobility or hearing impairment.

1. Our commitment
Accessibility is part of how we design programs, not an afterthought. We aim to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at Level AA for this website, and we apply comparable thinking to our printed and in-person materials.
2. What we have done on this website
- Semantic HTML structure with a single clear heading order on each page
- A skip-to-content link and full keyboard navigability, including the menu and cookie banner
- Visible focus indicators on every interactive element
- Descriptive alternative text on meaningful images and empty alt on decorative ones
- Color contrast checked against WCAG AA thresholds for body and interface text
- Text that reflows and remains readable at 200% zoom and on small screens
- Reduced-motion support: animations are disabled automatically when your system requests it
- Form fields with associated labels, clear error messaging and no reliance on color alone
3. Accessibility in our programs
- Large-print handouts on request at no extra charge
- Venues selected with step-free access and accessible restrooms wherever available
- Microphone use in rooms seating more than twenty-five people
- Materials shared in advance for participants who use screen readers
- Sign-language interpretation or CART captioning arranged on request; we ask for two weeks’ notice where possible
- Seating arranged so that lip reading and clear sightlines are possible
4. Known limitations
We are candid about the gaps we are working on: some downloadable documents produced before 2024 are not fully tagged for screen readers, and third-party embedded content such as external mapping links is outside our direct control. If you encounter either, contact us and we will provide the information in an accessible format promptly.
5. Requesting an accommodation or reporting a problem
Tell us what you need and we will arrange it. If you find a page or material that is difficult to use, please describe the page and what happened — that report genuinely helps. We aim to respond within two business days and to resolve website issues within thirty days.

6. Formal approach
This statement was last reviewed on 14 August 2026. Accessibility is assessed by manual keyboard and screen-reader testing together with automated checks. We review the site at least annually and after any significant change.
